Don Brown

Don Brown came to Lakeside on October 14th! Mr. Brown writes and illustrates biographies. Many of his books are about forgotten heroes, such as Mary Anning, a young girl who discovered a dinosaur fossil unknown to scientists. Mr. Brown has received many awards for his books. He told us about how he makes his books. We got to see the notebook he used to write one of his stories and pictures he drew for the story. We were very excited to meet him!

The Lion

Lakeside is being loaned a lion for a year! This lion is displayed in the school and students will be doing many activities to integrate lions into their learning.
