Market Day

The fifth graders at Lakeside had Market Day on Friday, June 1st. The businesses they created were great!

Pancake Supper

Lakeside and Green Meadow had a pancake supper at Lakeside on Tuesday, May 29th so the families of both schools could get to know each other. Some of the Green Meadow students were

also able to see their new school.

Biography Presentations

The students in Mrs. Guido and Mrs. Friday's classes learned about famous people from the Midwest. After they researched their person they presented what they learned during the Biography Fair.

Author Visit

Daniel San Souci visited our school on April 5th. He told us about himself, how he gets ideas for his books, and showed us pictures from his books. He also drew us a picture and answered our questions. Thanks again to the Oshkosh Public Library for making this visit possible!

Battle of the Books

On January 19th the three Battle of the Books teams competed in the Lakeside Battle of the Books competition. All three teams did a great job of preparing for this competition. During the competition the teams answered questions about the plots, characters, and settings of the books they read. The team of Rachel, Maddie, and Jessica took first place and will represent Lakeside in the state Battle of the Books. They will compete online with other teams throughout the state on February 23rd. Congratulations and good luck to Rachel, Maddie, and Jessica!

PALS

Josie, Joe, and Carter had the opportunity to visit our PALS business GE Oil & Gas.

Each week GE Oil & Gas sends representatives to Lakeside to teach skills in math or computers, often using science or engineering experiments to do so.

Lakeside staff and students appreciate all that GE Oil & Gas has done for our school!
